Final Fantasy XI's Sunbreeze festival offers NPC stage show
The annual Sunbreeze Festival has come once again to the world of Final Fantasy XI's Vana'diel! Previous years have seen fun activities like goldfish scooping accompanying the late-summer event. This year is no different, with sideshow games and numerous festival exclusive items filling out the fun. What is different in 2008 is the performance art of Fantastic Fraulein Mumor! A mild-mannered professor's daughter by day, she transforms with the help of the "Miracle Wand" into a fantasy super-heroine.

Hands-on with Warhammer Online
Last week at Comic-Con in San Diego, I sat down with Warhammer Online producer Jeff Skalski and got my hands on the beta for the first time. I could go in-depth on all the new features and functions of the game, but our own Michael Zenke beat me to the punch on that one. Instead I want to give my impressions of the game from the perspective of a long-time MMOG player with little time to play these days and even less interest in PvP.

It has always seemed like a clunky, not-quite-right prototype for what a massively-multiplayer-first-person-shooter could be. But some folks remember their time spent there quite fondly, including Rock, Paper, Shotgun's Quintin Smith.

Huxley breaks radio silence
As we noted when we named PlanetSide our #3 Sci-Fi MMO to date, it's good to see the "MMO" try on some new (i.e., non-RPG) clothes now and again. That's why we've been keeping a close eye on Webzen's MMOFPS Huxley. Updates on Huxley have been coming in a trickle in recent months. Videos have been released now and again, and we knew it was in closed beta, but Webzen hasn't said much to the public lately.
